Hello, just trying to be friendly and helpful but I'd suggest to edit out (redact) your username in SPS in case GM gets angry that you are goofing with sps files if they see it.

Hi again,

I compared the calibration info for the BCM from my astra k whit another astra K and its all equal, minus this Calibration.

In my car:
Module     Part Number     CVN
BCM Occupant Display Calibration    39159760    00001D19

Other Car:
Module     Part Number     CVN
BCM Occupant Display Calibration    39159762    0000959E

The rest its the same calibration in the 2 cars.

Module     Part Number     CVN
BCM Operational Software    13526397    000043E4
BCM Vehicle System Calibration    39206704    0000F9AA

Sunroof Controller 2    39163055    Unknown
BCM HVAC Calibration    39159765    0000FB84

The other car its the same, but have heated seats, and heated steering wheel.

I think for download this (and others) calibration file from SPS, "they" replace the original vin in the BCM, download the files, write the calibrations whit DPS and restore the VIN. Its possible this?

Any idea, help, for this its good received. If "they" can, we can

The BCM only responds to engine specs RPO code.

For all the other features and activation for the BCM, you will need to edit the BCM calibration file itself or swap calibration files from another car that already has those features activated. I can't help here as my experiments with BCM and ECU is very limited.

What you write I created a bench setup recently.  It took me some weeks to sort it. It was pain to get the HMI to speak on the HS-can line.

In the end I learnt some stuff about it.

For the HMI, all the units must be on the MOST line ie, IPC, CD drive, HMI, Radio, and BCM and/or the MOST loop must be complete.

And most important the BCM is the one who gives the orders if the HMI should speak or not via the 'Serial Data Communication Enable' wire.

I'm using an old xbox360 power supply to power the modules.

I have some question you write that we can use a Most loop instead of BCM ,is any can do or i must use a  GM Chevrolet if i work on a corvette and where connected ? And what voltage and amp power supply i should use ? And i saw that you use steering control you connect them where?

thank you very much

Baldpunk ; you write :the only 2 basic modules for the system are the HMI and the tuner (radio module) and the display of course. If so how do you change the vin in these item if is not your original parts? thank you

you need a 12-14V 5A supply minimum. More units needs more supply. Isn't the same only the IPC supply, than the IPC, BCM,Radio,Engine Ecu etc. More Units, more Amps. Easy. In the car you have a 60Amp batery... In a bench, not need 60...

for use steering control, you need the wiring diagram. (Global TIS, TIs online...)

Hello,

my spsCache is empty when I do SPS on Tis2Web. I did everything as in the tutorial but before programming and during programming no files are created in the folder.
Also during configuration everything is empty. I'm from Europe, does that matter? Tnx

The new gm techline connect will download the sps files in a continental folder.
once sps says it has downloaded the files at 100% the files are on your pc.

The old sps will download the files to your sps cache folder 100%

Are you looking in the correct sps cache folder?

By the way, can you tell me which website you’re using for sps that still uses the older sps?

Has anybody figured out where Techline stores the files now? Still trying to figure this stuff out, I gave up trying when your videos was taken down because there just wasn't any info out there that I could find.. I sometimes have access to a lot of US cars to pull files from and possibly experiment with..

Thanks Troy I had a 2018 silverado I was trying to get a arps file to work. It just didnt work. Then I unzipped with 7zip and built a arps file with the bin files and that worked. But it did not let me change the VIN. I need to play around with that yet.  I did try the SET_MEC_TO ZERO and that let me write a new vin over it with SPS so I may just have to use that option

Hi , SET_MEC_TO ZERO where is found

If you go to read module info them right above that select cal.  and in there you will find set mec to zero (they are stored in the dpsarch file)
