How to change the VIN number in GM K43 electric Power steering control module using DPS

Only certain module that stores a Vin number like BCM, IPC, Brake ABS, Power steering. ECM can be done but I'm still working on a solution.

This is brilliant. Recently I did some research on techline connect software, and I found  VINs could also be changed by the function of configuration&setup.

Could you share more info on how to change Vin on Tlc.

Up to a month ago i was able to change Ecm Vin by

Manually  type in  Vin, Highlight Vin, hit enter.

Was working like old sps, looks like they patched that as working no more.

I don't know how to change vin in ECM using DPS.

Hi,i need help for reflash use hvac module so i try with sps2 but failed reprogramming so i have DPS 4.46.6000 but i not have hvac module address i test reading pcm,abs,bcm reading so i need dps file for reflash or change vin or unlock module for reflash,note if someone have all modules address for DPS,thanks.

I don’t know as this file was created for insignia Buick Regal. If the files doesn’t work and you can provide the utility file for that module I can create a dps vin file of it.

HVAC vin change is now possible.

Hi, yes you can try that file if it doesn't work. Send me the EPS utility file and I will create a VIN change file that will work 100%

Am using autel maxiflash vci what interface do I need to connect the DPS.

You bought EPS Power Steering module VIN Number change Not DPS. The file you bought has the included instructions on how to use it with DPS to change the VIN in the EPS.

Any interface that works with GM GDS2 software will work with DPS.

Hi, can you use DPS to find out if the EPS is a 2 or a 5-Byte seed and let me know? Use the photo below which shows how to identify 2 and 5-byte seed.

Here are some ready made EPS VIN change files for 5-Byte Equinox and Malibu below.

If the EPS is 2-Byte and you can provide the EPS calibration files, I can create the VIN change files for the 2-Byte seed EPS.

It is 5 byte seed! Just tested on an Equinox. Would the VIN change file work for both Malibu and Equinox provided they are all 5-bytes? Thanks much!
