Hey after some digging in the OS of the IO6 i want to callenge myself to run an custom Aplication on the radio. For your Informationen all is Stock and no Hardware changes was made. Just Crosscompile Doom for the iMX6 cpu on the HMI 2.5.

This is just for fun and to see what ist posible.

@Arbe_gtc tomorow i will write a littel Summery. The only Problem ist i need to disable the watchdog and i dont not know how.

Yes that ist my problem too. Did you Compiled fbdoom? What prog did you kill to get acess to the screen?

fbdoom yes,

its running 2 minutes 23 seconds, then HMI reboots, is not a normal poweroff

Killing this processes LayerManager|prochmi|procvideo

This ist exacly what i did. I think there is an watchdog tomorow i will try to disable this

I'm struggling with the sound, but I can't get it to work. If I send this through the HMI console:

aplay -D hw:0,0 -f S16_BE -r 48000 -c 2 /dev/urandom --duration=10

I'm getting white noise through the USB, but I can't get Doom to have sound...

Did you conneced an usb soundcard? I would love to figuere out how to inject sound in the silverbox

No, the sounds of the hmi, (android auto, carplay, USB, aux...) are sended to the radio module vía most bus.

To enable USB Keyboard input and play it, go to:

/lib/ald/security_features/usb_hid

and execute the enable_permanent.sh file. restart HMI and enjoy

Keyboard will work in both usb port of hmi
