How to change mileage in GM's cars using GM's DPS

Changing the mileage in GM vehicles is vital when recycling a used BCM module. Using the GM DPS software and this particular DPS type4 application file, you can achieve this.

Try using the file with the vehicle’s original IPC.

Yes. Try the old IPC. Both the IPC and BCM must be compatible, shares the same VIN and communicating for the mileage correction file to work.

Did you get to figure it out. I saw an issue similar to this when i had BCM replaced for a 2017 Chevy Malibu. I had the original IPC and communication wasnt getting established between the BCM and IPC. So you might have other issues taking place that needs to be fixed. You might want to check if there is any error codes that shows up on a scanner.

Yes the the mileage in the ECM emulated eeprom can be changed with special software and hardware, all in the hardware/software costed me 300+
