Hi, yes there was an issue on that page. It's now fixed. You can try purchasing the file again.

Hi Troy, first nice work and thank you!. I would like to replace the IPC in a 2015 Sierra with a used one. Knowing that the mileage would be wrong and the IPC being from a Global A vehicle, what file or files would I need to accomplish this using DPS.

Thank you

Hi, the mileage is stored in the BCM module. If you swap the IPC you would need to change the VIN in the used IPC to the vehicle's VIN, then the original mileage will display on the IPC.

You can use this file to change the VIN in the Sierra 2015 IPC.

Would I need to change both pin and VIN in order to get a used IPC working in a Global A vehicle or would I need to change just the VIN? Also would these file/files also work on a Silverado of the same year 2015? Thanks!

Hi, a PIN change is needed if you want to program the IPC via GM SPS service. A VIN change is needed for displaying the mileage on the IPC. You can do a VIN change first, then check if you need the PIN change. Yes, the mileage change file will work on the Silverado 2015.

Last question. Can I do the VIN change off board/on the bench?

Thank you.

They both have the same VIN and tried it on 2 different cars and still had the same issue. I been working with Troy on what possibly could be the issue and will update the thread once its figured out.

**Update on the issue.**

After trying several VCI connections, i still had the same issue. I tried Autel VCMI, Autel Elite, and MDI2 and still encountered the same error. I tried a different version of DPS and issue resolved. Issues i encountered was with DPS 4.48 however DPS 4.44 worked just fine.
