This files instructs both the HMI and radio module to learn the vin number from BCM.

No 0-hex is done.

This file works with all the cars that uses HMI 2.0, HMI 2.5 and the Satellite radio module.

The radio has to look like this.

Hi, yes but only for cars that has the USA satellite radio module.

For European cars that has the silverBox radio module you can use this file to relearn the vin number in both the radio and HMI module.

Will this enable Carplay and Android auto? Or is this a separate file?

This file removes the GM security "Theft Lock" from a used module. Mainly used when wanting to add a used radio or HMI module to the car.

If you buy a 2.5 HMI module and use this file, you will have android auto and Carplay. This is what I did. Since I have a 2015 Tahoe, I also had to change the USB outlet in the center console and the radio module. After 2015, those 2 parts aren't necessary for the successful swap.

I have a question, I have a 2013 Cadillac XTS platinum, the car had a 1.1 HMI and a HD radio and sat with bose system, I replaced the HMI with 2.5, I ran DPS with radio-vin relearn, worked well removed theft lock. I left original radio intact and also got the carplay to show up but i dont get audio from maps, txt or phone calls. everything else works good, Do i still need to replace the radio module?

Yes when upgrading you either also upgrade the radio module or update the radio module firmware.

Hi, yes that file will unlock all HMI v2, HMI v2.5 and the USA satellite radio module.
