DPS Type4 file can be used to change the mileage in GM's BCM modules and the IPC/Speedo.

This file does not work on GM Global-B vehicles or all GM Global-A vehicles. 

The IPC and BCM must be original and compatible and have the same VIN.

Use this file to display the Type4 tab option on DPS.

Hello, Any person test the fucntion in any global b car. I have a 2021 suburban for test.

    In any case troy, could I put together a file for global b with tetchline and create it myself with the vehicle in the workshop?

    just tried this on a 2018 Colorado and it never ask me for the mileage. It just goes through without changing anything.

    In my experience if you are trying to change the mileage it doesn't work. But if you have a mileage difference between modules it will let you change it. But I've not got to try it on any of the new trucks.

    So, the theory behind this solution is that the ECU has to have a different number than the cluster, for example?

    That's been my experience with it. It's more made to match mileage then to change it.

    does this change mileage also in ECM? It is recorded in these 3 units, right: ECM, BCM and IPC ?

    This file changes the mileage in slot 1 BCM, which is then mirrored to the IPC. ECM is untouched.

    Hi Troy and all. Will this work on a 2021 Trax global A vehicle? Cluster replacement and sps programmed but setup gave an error. Thanks in advance
