Insignia 2014 Retrofit TPMS

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Maybe somebody can help me,

I would like to retrofit TPMS in my Insignia 2014 which does not have tpms originally,
I found the plug on the back behind the bumper and connected the module, check and power working after ignition on

I have replaced the 8'' cluster, which has pressure monitoring, but shows only dashes,

So now left BCM to activate,

I tried SPS config / setup there is a question if I have TPMS, and the whole configuration process,  but still nothing happens, will someone tell me exactly what to do, is this function in calibration?
 Thanks greetings

I do not intend to be rude but just to make sure that we start in the right end: Are you sure that your tire sensors are alive and activated? Are they also running on the correct frequency, i.e. 433 for Europe or 315 for US and is the receiver also on the same frequency?

Hide or show on the IPC (Menu present, indicator, ..) You can run SPS Config & Setup IPC and choose option.

You should change 2 calibration (BCM Vehicle System Calibration & BCM Chassis Calibration) copy it from New Car have TPMS into your car need to active TPMS. And Reprogramming BCM by GM DPS

That is something where I’m not aware, but may be @codebuilder can tweak them a bot and make them working

So, between (Chassis Calibration) 39069339 and 39069347, there's not much different!  The 01 flags might be something.  I would almost be tempted to load this calibration and see if it comes on.  If TPMS starts working, I can modify this file to have only the 01 flags and we can narrow it down from there.

Now the other file, (Vehicle System Configuration), you can see between 39069353 and 39069355, there's quite a bit different.  I'm leaning it's more likely one of the 01 flags as well.  I would try the chassis configuration first.  I might even try one myself to see (but my vehicle and different calibrations).  I'd try Chassis Config since it's minimal and see if it comes on.

Yeah, that's my worries on those crazy flags.  Some are 00 to 01 but the ones that aren't....  yeeeaaaahhhh...  I'd still try the one though and see what it does :).

is it possible just to flash one block?

  • GM Car Hacking Expert

You can if operational software is same. As far as I’m aware differences is one calibration in BCM and 2 in IPC. But is possible I to be wrong. I usually do them via VCI and rarely taken eye on differences before. Now start to compile calibrations database. But will take a time.
