XML files video tutorial

$100

1 Screenshot

Click the web link below for the new course.

This file consists of a video tutorial demonstrating how to retrieve the XML files for a module and how to remove RPO codes from the module using the GM DPS software tool.

It also includes information on manually activating and deactivating hidden menus in the IPC module using DPS.

NOTE: The video tutorial was created using the older SPS, the same as the Europe Service box SPS. The newer Techline SPS2 is the same process as the older SPS, only with a folder name change.

If the SPS2 does not give me the option in my IPC to configuration & setup, how do I get the BuildRecord.xml?

which model GM vehicle is it? SPS only download the cache XML files for some GM vehicles. Not all.

That error is saying the xml files you are  programming is not compatible with your IPC. You need to get the correct xml files that was made for your IPC.

Thanks Troy, indeed I was using the wrong XML file. I was able to update the XML data. Thanks again.

from a base model cluster to a denali cluster. Keep in mind, Troy manual is for UK vehicles, US vehicles configurations are different.

Man, I can't spoil Troy research by explaining what the manual he is selling. I wish I could, but I don't know. I can say it was extremely useful.

Is this all that is needed to modify RPOs, or is additional modules to purchase?

Hello Troy,

I have watched the tutorial and was following the instructions to find the XML file of the ECU. But unfortunately in that specific folder I cansee only the BUILD file and some DLLs. It does not show me the XML file...

I have Opel Insignia 2018.

Is SPS not giving any XML files for the ECU anymore? Is there any workaround? I just want to add RPO code to activate the active air shutter.

Best regards,

can the list of RPOs for a specific VIN be downloaded only with SPS or can be done with GDS?

Hello,

Is this method same of all Chevrolet models? GM GEM, GM GLOBAL B?

Troy Grand Master

This info is not compatible GM Global-B.

Will this work to turn off the security light on the ipc on a 2012 Sonic?

Troy Grand Master

If the light is an IPC-only DTC, yes.

If the light is part of a DTC with other modules, no.

There's no way to tell other than to try it. It may or may not work.

I'm fairly certain the bcm is setting the light.
