Ok so I’ve found the flag

Where would that be, probably in cal 20?

One thing to understand, Your car shows also "Auto Cooled Seats" in climate Settings or  just  "Remote Start Auto Cool Seate" in Remote.... Settings?

It's in #5, there's actually a bunch of cool things you can do in there.  It says Auto Cooled Seats but it's under the Remote Start configuration.  You can hide/show heat or cool with remote start too (can't remember where the heat flag is off the top of my head though).

I have to try the BCM calibrations of the 2019 Malibu, because they are very similar to the 2019 Astra K, to see if any new options appear in the HMI menu

Maybe i misunderstood something but is the auto feature only in "Remote Lock, Unlock, Start" or also in "Climate and Air Quality"?

Because Remote Start is not an Options in my Car (Manual Transmission).

  • GM Car Hacking Expert

i think auto heated seats option inside the Climate and air quality menu, are dependent of the HVAC calibrations..

the Envision uses the same HVAC module than your Astra K

(13598154) replaced by: 84234763.

maybe we need check the hvac calibrations in Envision model...

i sent you the hvac cals. the option i think is in the number 03. but have a lot of differences... try to create a package only changing the number 03 and test it

In my case, I've found them in HVAC Calibration 03 (HW: 13591958, OS: 13594173) by compare with 2014 chevrolet volt (&KA1) and (-KA1)

but activating 'Auto heated seats' option seems not for rear heated seats (&KA6). works only on front heated seats (&KA1).

offset: 0x48FD, 0x4927 (seems for climate control in mylink screen), 0x492E (seems for climate control in mylink screen)

ref: malibu_2014_C68_LBS_AKX_LHD_C32.zip

I can see similar pattern in 39121643, too. try locate pattern like: FF 12 13 14 FF. I found them around 0x48F9~494A.

8th gen malibu (2012~2015) in korea have no passenger presence sensor and seat belt reminder for all passengers (only for driver). and nobody seated on the passenger seat.

both front heated seats turned on right after engine start.

but passenger heated seat turned off after 10 seconds with DTC. (passenger heated seat malfunction - high resistance) it also turned off automatically when I turned on the passenger seat manually)

I think I should replace heated seat pad in the passenger seat. 😞

Are  that the resistance is bad? So give him what he wants, and check if the heating works.

HVAC module facelift and calibrations from Astra K 2021 AGR + QuickHeat.
As I still have to install the AGR seats, and change the navi900 intellilink to the Info3 system... I hope it works.

Nice work, I assume the HVAC module in your Astra K is 2016? I got Astra K 2016 and I've already retrofitted AGR seats on it so I'd like to try this calibration out.

I'm planning to do the heated windscreen retrofit at some point so I am trying to find calibration to compare.

I see that in my HVAC control module, the Operational software is below

Operational Software 84234770 00006293

Look like it is compatible?

Hello,

thought I’d return back on this topic as I will be looking into this very soon.

do you have any kind of issues using MY2020 HVAC cals onto MY2019 HVAC such as running at wrong temps, cooling fans not started due to ambient temps?

or everything’s simply working prefectly?

It is probably necessary to replace the HVAC module, but I am not sure if 2020 calibrations can be used on a 2019 module...

I will look into it. One of the reason I came back to this topic is I was trialing out the climate menu feature on Astra K which I discovered some ways. I used a method that you did by programming MY2020 calibrations into earlier MY2018 which it was successful in terms of the climate menu, although the temperature is quite way off along with cooling fans wasn't functioning.

It is strange as I tested MY2020 Calibration from other buick vehicle and it was working prefectly, although it was missing C32 Quickheat and KU1 cooled seats, which I tried and do the custom editting on the airflow calibration and it just doesn't want to work after each byte.
