My 2016 Astra K has Heated and Cooled Seats but

three is only the options for "Auto Heated Seats"

 

Is it possible to aktivate  "Auto Cooled Seats" Setting like on GMC 2018 Terrain / CADILLAC?

 

 

 

Never knew about this option..
Interestingly, could it be enabled (and functioning) for any HMI 2.5 unit, or functionality is purely dependent on HVAC unit?
I'd like to have a auto heated seats at least.

I can look later and see if I can find the option, it might be in the BCM though….  But you can try my HMI config if you like and see if it shows? 

It is worth a try with HMI.

But if it's in the Bcm I have a problem, back then I retrofitted the sport button but didn't have the modified calibration, because someone made it for me  🥲

I'll get you my HMI calibration, if it's in there, we can narrow it down and find which flag it is then build you a proper one.  Do you have your stock HMI calibrations already?

Oh perfect!  I just wanted to make sure you could revert back.  Let me package you up mine that I have in right now and see if the auto cooled seats shows up.

Nothing super obvious standing out but let me know if it shows up.  It might be a settings mask.

I've checked it's an option in the BCM for the option to show.  Do you have your BCM files?  I'll see if I can locate the flag and hopefully ours are the same.

I only have the Stock BCM file not the current unfortunately.

Yours are the same as mine (sizes, etc).  I'll go do a test on my vehicle and see if I can add/remove it.

 

I can't remember exactly but when I was retrofitting the AGR seats onto Insignia B, I have to do a programming of BCM to activate the cooled seats but I didn't think auto cooled seats could have shown. I will ask a customer to check on Insignia B for me. 🙂

Yeah, there's a flag to show the option in the HMI.  I had forgot that I added it to mine 🙂 lol.

I’ve found the calibration it’s in.  Just finding the parameter.

Ok so I’ve found the flag.  I saw your message about the sport button, was that someone here that did it?  I don't know where that flag is unfortunately...  You could try to pull the calibrations down for me that you have now and I can take a look.

You have heated seats already?  If you have your BCM files, I could probably add it in for you too.  I know where it is now.  

Yeah, I've got both heated and ventilated seats factory-fitted.
Unfortunately, no BCM files, as this car already had the latest cals for BCM when I got it..

You have a MDI?  I can’t download BCM files for yours but there’s others on the site that I’m sure I can ask for help on that.  I can make you a stock then modified file. I’d need your VIN though.

If they did a VCI, there’s probably a legitimate different calibration.  The r compare your VIN to what’s returned.  Hopefully that would be the way.  It’s hard to say.  I’m sure we could figure out the sport mode button too but it would be some work as I just don’t have a vehicle that does that.  And I do this as a hobby and honestly, I’m having fun helping people.  I literally make no money haha.  But I enjoy it.

Yeah, of course, I have a J2534 tool. I have worked with GDS2, SPS, DPS.. So, not a problem. I know the general concept of these things 😄

I have looked in my files, and I do not have anything close to the cals currently loaded in the vehicle.. So I would have to count on kindness of forum members to provide correct files for my VIN. 🙂

I will wait and see if you experiments with Astra K is successful before trying it myself - as it is not something I really require. It's just a cool convenience option.

Is VCI job, but by private servers. So data will be not available at GM servers. 
 

@pupu14 if you want your BCM files - share your VIN, someone might be able to download them and compare them with someone without these details.
