GM IPC, Instrument Cluster VIN change file for  2-byte seed IPC for Insignia and Buick Regal

This is a DPS achieve file which can be used to change the VIN number in the IPC module.

2 byte Seed key compatible.

This files works on Vauxhall/Opel Insignia and Buick Regal.

The above file works for Insignia and Buick Regal as stated in the file description. It will not work on CT6

    ok. i thought it was universal for gm ipc. because i have an Opel insignia grand sport but i retrofitted the cluster to my car 2 years ago and all worked fine. now i have updated the cluster via sps and the original vin was rewritten.

    The files work for a specific GM vehicle model. Every GM vehicle model uses separate files.

    Hello Troy,

    I have a 2012 Buick Regal with a second hand instrument cluster that need Vin change.

    Will this also need a pin change  or is changing the Vin enough ?

    You need a PIN change to program the vehicle keys or use the GM SPS service.

    Probably not, as different clusters may have different security algorithms (these files are for Insignia A/Buick Regal, as mentioned in the description).
    Need to check.

    Post HW number of your IPC from Meriva B, or post full VIN..

    gm 13346210 is the new IPC - it all works, but odometer doesn't show any value

    Short answer - it should not work, because Meriva-B have different algorithm than Insignia's cluster.

    Also, if you have driven some distance with "-----" mileage, it will get locked out, and you would have to edit EEPROM to unlock it again (if I'm not mistaken).
