hi all hope you all doing well... i have chevrolet 2018 impala VIN 2G1135S36J9162862 this car headlamps always on no matter its day time or night when i see data display ambient light sensor showing me day but automatic lights (headlamps) always on .. is there anyone who faced same problem and get solved?

Hi thanks for your comment please check the VIN but i think car is middle east specification because its sold by dealership of saudia Arabia

this is the RPO for trim and its not LT 4AJ - JET BLACK/DK TITANIUM my question is why headlights working even when under sun?

Hi thank you for comment ... yes its worked fine when i turned it on and off with headlamp switch or gds2 but the problem is when we start the car the low headlights turned on automatically even in day time we have to switch the headlamps controls from automatic to manual then its turned off

Dose the problem stay if you disconnect the headlight switch.

What dose the Switch state say?

I found i really funny surprising  that the day/night(just not headlight) switch works, the manuell switch works and gds commands work.

 

 

On my testbench a had the problem that the headlight ware on all the time (with icon in the dash) and the not existing light sensor has said Invalid. But you show correct Day Night and the light icon go away in day.

 

At first i thought that maybe the relais or cabel is the problem but like i sad on off is not the problem just "auto" if i got i right.

i think 2017 and above impala has that feature low headlamps works even in day time but i checked 2014 impala auto lamps work proper this is the VIN  for more investigation for 2014 impala 2G1175S39E9108613 plz check maybe someone can put some light... thanks

check sunload sensor data on dash,, (day/night)

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)

The daytime running lamps (DRL) will illuminate continuously when the following conditions are met:

• The ignition is in the RUN or CRANK position
• The shift lever is out of the PARK position for vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions or the parking brake is released for vehicles with manual transmissions
