I have a car with a diesel engine A20DTH with automatic transmission, to activate remote start, do I need to change the calibration files or do I need to change the XML file from the SPS2 folder Type4 cache for GM DPS?
As I understand, I need to work with BCM and ECM units? Which lines need to be edited?

It has to be edited calibrations. 

@Lyubomir Krastanov Need to replace calibrations from another car? If other calibrations are needed, is there a VIN that will suit me? Maybe you have the necessary calibrations?

I found the dependence of the BTV option in calibration #2 of the BCM block.

I looked at calibrations from a Buick Regal 2012, I noticed that some calibration options start from 0x2be to 0x305, and from 0x306 to 0x4e7 is the code responsible for remote start. In Insignia there is some offset in the range 0x306 to 0x4e7. I tried to analyze and compare the necessary bits, but when flashing the unit I get an error at 99%, I also tried to completely copy the range from 0x306 to 0x4e7, when updating the unit I also get an error at 99%, trying to copy from 0x2be to 0x4e7 without offsets in bytes, I also get an error at 99%. In all operations, the calibration checksum was calculated.

There aren't any posobility to do remote start on Bosch Diesel ECUs in Insignia. Only petrol versions or Delphi Diesel.

1. Bosch ECU won't recognize such commands.

2. Did you calculate checksums correctly?

Checksums were calculated according to the instructions. As far as I know, some started diesel engines.

Yep, diesel engines with Delphi ECU works OK.

The Malibu 2014 Diesel has the same engine as my A20DTH and it has remote start capability.

As i know, Chevrolet for europe was not on Bosch. Denso or Delphi... A20DTH is about engine but not about ECU.

I think you should first start with the BCM block to activate the option in general, and then deal with the engine if necessary, but I have not yet managed to transfer part of the code to my BCM block.

My Insignia A20DTH AT 2011 and Astra A20DTH AT 2011 had different calibrations and Bosch ECM numbers.

May be some ECM soft need to be some spessial version?

And it is easier to do it with petrol engines. All them works with remote start.

As far as I know, the @WSOpel user managed to start a diesel on an Opel.

Can someone help me or tell me what needs to be changed?

Ok. Yhere are 2 different options.

1. Original key fob with remote start button.

2. Any key fob - triple push on "close" button will start the engine. This is mostly common with the newer cars 2017+.
