Feel free to give it a try, it's not very difficult.  Then grab beyond compare or even look at the digital signatures in the files themselves.

Ok…. So WHATS THE SOLUTION! A lot y’all talking…. But what to do?  If I give the vin to the car y’all send me the right file to download?

There are countless hmi, with navigation, without navigation....

This thread got way out of hand lol.

 

The absolute easiest is if you have an MDI (or clone), pay for a VIN license on SPS, then download the USB update.  You're going to need calibrations after anyways because after you do a USB update, it'll say "Calibrate device".

 

Did you get the one to read that I've sent you?  Send me a text again as easier.  I was a bit crazy busy the last few days

Share the requested information and someone, if anyone can, will try to help you. If not, the only solution is to go to the workshop or look for other alternatives. It is easy.

And what they (@codebuilder) say about trying to install EU-US software, it is true. When checking the files, the update is invalid for the HMI

sorry to hear that you still not fix your issue,,  just post vehicle vin and hmi part number,

I keep mixing you up with another fellow I’ve helped but I thought I’ve sent you

the US files and instructed to load to USB?  I haven’t heard anything back.  Unless I’ve missed something? 
 

I’ll add too, even after you load the USB, assuming your flash memory didn’t go bad, you’re going to very likely get stuck at “Calibrate Device” and need an MDI or clone.
