if GM would make access easy it would benefit them and allow people to create solutions that benefit them 10 fold. Greed is the only logical answer as to why they don’t. I have witnessed this on the tuning side also. When the us government decided to ban certain parts of engine tuning the tuners should have made them widely available in databases to send a message but instead were greedy and threw their morals to the curb. 

GM has stepped in on the game by banning SPS accounts. The GM SPS ban wave.

Does anyone remember the Microsoft Xbox 360 ban wave days?  🤣

First, they were only banning accounts that used an emulator tool. Now, they are banning accounts that use a VPN. I had a few accounts banned. All I used those accounts for were to program modules. Also, they seem to monitor the IP addresses used when logged on. I used a dedicated VPN IP for over a year with no issues. Then they banned every SPS account logged in with that dedicated VPN IP. When I emailed ACdelco support about the disabled accounts, they did not reply.

Have any other members using GM ACDelco pay per VIN SPS service with VPN or no VPN or dealer access had their accounts disabled?

I'll try SPS tomorrow if I get time as I have an active vin or 2 but I can still log into the acdelco site though a VPN

Could be.

They are locking accounts that use a mdi clone. Switch to a genuine mdi or a j2534 device. 

My locked accounts only used a genuine MDI2.

Interesting, I know in the US this week alot of guys got locked and when they contacted acdelcotds the response was always that it was locked for using a non genuine mdi or mdi2. They was instructed to not use the device again and the account would relock if they did. Everyone seemed to have better luck sending an email verse setting on hold for hours. So maybe send an email and ask why it was locked.
