Hello all. It is possible to get calibration files from offline GlobalTis ? I have tried, but in the SPS cache i get  much more files and they are named like .bin1  .bin2 .bin3 etc.. 

I've never tried it but I assume it's the same process. Use 7zip to extract whatever files it gives. The name doesn't really matters.

Extract it with 7zip normaly. no problem.  the number says the ID of the file.

 

after extraction, the file dont have extension. you can rename as .bin

Has anyone tried to extract cal files from the Transbase DB from GlobalTis v32, or connect to it directly?

I have a few older NA GM cars to work on and I have TIS2000.  Does anyone have any experience extracting bin files from TIS2000?  I did push an SPS update from TIS2000 to my Tech2 but it does not appear to store the files in a temporary location before it pushes them onto the Tech2

Yes, there is such a possibility. Only the CALs themselves are not there; they are stored cut into pieces in the _BLOB format. For that, in the database, if you change the HWID for HWNAME, then you can get the firmware for your VIN, but not your block by Part Numbers.

 

It seems there must be a table that associates the HWID's to the vin.  Any idea how that is structured?  Perhaps a query could be built to extract the data from the database.  I wonder if there is a way to turn on query logging while globaltis is running to see how it gathers info from the database..?

VIN is also decomposed into pieces in different tables. And each part is responsible for different IDs. Probably, by changing some of the indicators, you can force to assemble another firmware from not your CAL. I had a goal to flash a block that in a regular session threw an error "E2700 Hardware mismatch error".

I spent a bit of time on this over Christmas and although I don't have global TIS, I do have TIS 2000.  I was able to learn a lot more about this process.  I was able to pull ALL the calibration files/util files from the TIS2000 database.  I also figured out a way to determine which files, according to TIS2000 (outdated but working) are required for anything.  This is mostly class 2 but some early GMLan stuff.  I suspect if you look in the "Calibration_files" table, you will find all of the files I did and blobs and listed by the cal part number

Extract to file and using 7zip extract it, using dps and flash file ok

hi. At the beginning of the year, my friend and I wrote a script in pyton and extracted all the calibration files from the tiss v32 database. I also learned how to change the necessary calibrations directly in the database and write directly from tiss. but your script is also interesting, because it apparently also shows eeprom as the first *.AC file, although I may be mistaken. I'll have to figure this out. because even having all the files on hand, I couldn't determine how the rpo code is assembled into the firmware.

That's cool, but really won't be working with any vehicles which have received updates since that GTISv32 release..
Tis2Web will show newer calibrations which does not exist in offline database.

I check then 90% match with Global tis offline. May be some one module has been chang to new calibations. If you can using DPS and get current calibaration in module then may be exist in Global tis

If you can share source extracted all calibration file in globatis offline. File .ac not eeprom, it is file ultility when create file module flash (it need extract using winrar before create module)

I don't know which vehicles are you working with, but, for an example, a MY10/MY11 Astra J or Insignia (depends on build specs, of course) have received updates to K17 EBCM, K20 ECM, K71 TCU, P16 IPC, K26 Headlights, K29/K40 Seat module, K33 HVAC, K36 SDM, K43 EPS, K39 Liftgate modules since that GTISv32 release, to name a few..

As for K9 BCM - yes, usually there are no updates since vehicle have left a factory, so they can be mostly up-to-date for vehicles up to MY12.

I am currently working on the same thing to extract all calb files from glaubel tis v32. I already have the sps blobs and am now trying to name and extract them correctly. I stumbled across the .ac file extension. Can someone explain exactly what formats there are and where the limits are with the sps blobs? I have read that there are no calb files in there? I would like to participate in the work so that we might have everything centralised for the older models.

Is there a Posible to get a Databank access to an Online Tis version? To optain new Cal files?

Friend, you're absolutely right. Many units have received updates since TISs v32.

I'm not involved in the auto business at all, and I only work with my Astra J MY11.

My main task is to activate the TQ5 high beam function on my halogen headlights.

And this is only possible by directly editing the light calibration. I have a successful example with an Astra J MY12, but the BCM software is different. When opening these two calibrations, they are very similar, but there is a slight offset that I haven't figured out yet.

The guys on the "market" offer a paid solution, but I want to figure it out myself =)

I have a utility that can build both the bin for flashing, or give you all the segments including loader for TIS2000 -- is that kinda what you're looking for ?

File extensions mean nothing. DPS/SPS works with unzipped binaries.
You can create an archive for DPS with .JPG or .EXE file extensions for calibrations (or without any) - it will still work.
Only the correct order matters (and that you load correct files, of course, don't try to cross-flash modules).

At early stages of Global A, .ac extension was gives to Utility files, usually.
