Hi, it should work on all GM cars that uses the electric power steering module.

The TCM module does not store a VIN number. 

Do you know if this will edit Vin on USA Global A Silverado's,

I recently was able to reuse 2015 Silverado wrecking yard power steering module. They both had separate Soic 8 eeprom, had to take both modules apart

but got donor module to work.

Hi, yes. It works on Gm cars that has the electric power steering module.

Hi, it’s hard to tell which models it works on as I only have a 2015 insignia/Buick regal car, that’s what I do all my experiments on. 
From members feedback it also works on chevrolet spark LV7 1.4

This is a 3byte seed key file so it may work on cars that has an electric power steering from 2014 to 2017. 
It won’t work on newer cars that has the 5byte seed key. 
However, if it does not work on your car and you can provide the utility file

, I can create the file needed to change the vin in all power steering modules including the newer 5byte versions.

Hi, that car’s power steering is using a different algo. 
Can you private message me a screenshot of the DPS “get controller info” “read info” screen. The ecu id for power steering is 31, and send me the utility file for your power steering. 
Use this tutorial below for getting the utility file for the power steering. 
 

I will need to create a special file for your  steering module

You can use any OBD diagnostic interface that's compatible with GM's SPS service, example Drew tech mongoose pro 2 GM, GM official MDI, or a cheap VXdiag NANO GM.

Many people uses the cheap VXdiag nano GM interface with DPS without any issues, you can find them reasonable priced on Ebay.

Hi, DPS is located here. 

have connected my mdi to car and computer when i read ecu data i get error occurred during request info

Fixed it was on wrong settings and it worked great at changing chassis number

Yes the power steering is on the High speed can bus line, diagnostic pin 6-14.
