Hello all! I have a 2014 Cadillac ATS with NG2.0 (23427513). Car came to me in this exact same state, screen says Update failed, counts down from 300 for shutdown until an update media is plugged in. I made the update USB with SPS2 for the exact part number. When I plug in the USB to the car, Update starts but then fails at script.lua496 at %67. Is there any way to recover this HMI?

Probably the only option is to replace eMMC chip and write a dump from another working unit - as it looks like your unit have a storage memory issue.

Gonna be much easier to find a replacement unit and program it to this car.

Appreciate the response! If that's the case, would it be okay to purchase an HMI NG2.5 and use the tools from this website to change/program the VIN etc.? I am new to GM world sorry if I sound dumb :) I do have the DPS, SPS and GDS2 all setup and working. Thank you!

Again thanks a lot for the response man. I think I will just take that route instead fighting with this unit. I assume I can use any HMI NG2.5 as long as I program it properly, is that correct or does it have to be a specific part number(s) for my case?

Yes, any should work.

However, there are IO5 and IO6 units (without or with Nav), and also units with map data for different regions (EU, NA, Middle East, LATAM probably too..) - so do a little research on the part number you are ordering.

Yup, I was just checking those.. Since I am in US, I will probably get one from US but it is just hard to find the exact car model etc. I found some info about merging the update files for USB flash after VIN learn and CarPlay/android play activation flash. So probably will need to use SPS2 to download the update files to USB and then merge them properly, we will see :) Thanks again!
