  • Your programming errors out at writing VIN. Can you share the utility file from this DPS archive? Also, do you know how to "change" VIN when programming with DPS? You are writing this VIN to the mod

  • what is your TCM part number? Is it original to the car or is a donor/used module?

  • What percentage did the programming stop at in DPS? I also read that the VCX-NANO drivers have issues with the buffer during module programming. You may need a genuine GM MDI interface. Check here.

old TCM has 0 Communication from diagnostic tool, Dgs2, SPS, DPS not sure why.
but new TCM can be read. its just that VIN is different and sometime goes on limp mode and Transmission fault code present, specifically P0700, P07BF.

You are writing this VIN to the module - 6G1PD5EM9EL948202.
Is this car VIN or donor VIN?

@Troy  It finishes 100%, but errors out afterwards. i have tries reprogramming all other modules just to test, all seems to be successful.

@pupu14  well i changed the VIN in Get controller info, then read info on the module, then replace the VIN written on the donor TCM into the VIN of the car.
6G1PD5EM9EL948202 is the VIN i want to be written on the Module yes.

heres the Utility file for the Archive that im using, if you need the whole archive i can upload it here also. but i got the files on SPS, double checked on the SPS information on ACdelco's website, all checks out

DPS states 100%. That means the module was fully programmed with the calibration files. That error is not important.

After programming the TCM, you must also perform a TCM adaptation via the GM SPS service configuration and setup option to ensure the TCM valve body hydraulics are set correctly.

@Troy Forgot to mention that configuration and setup finishes and goes through no issue on SPS, but still after 100% on DPS with the error. Checking the VIN of the donor TCM, it's still from its original VIN. Scanning on a launch diagnosistic tools also scans that Old VIN, not the one on the actual Car :(

P07BF is about sensor error. You cannot fix that with programming.

DPS have flashed software to TCM correctly, but fails at writing VIN.
I have modified your utility file, so you can retry with writing VIN again with wasting time with flashing CU again.

@pupu14  So its okay that VIN wasnt changed on the Donor TCM? as long as the DPS reprogram, and SPS configure and Setup is successful? i might not be able to download the file for now, hehe dont have extra money to donate now, But ill definitely do so soon! Also tried just now to reprogram with DPS, WITHOUT changing the VIN and it push through, weird that it cant rewrite the VIN, probably because its a donor TCM. @pupu14 @Troy Thank you so so much for both of your help! ill post an update if something BAD happens hehe. Thanks a lot again! cheers!

UPDATE!

Tried to finish the Configure and setup, when Transmission temperature goes to 70C, Reprogramming without continue and car now goes to limp mode, when cool, it goes back to normal, Is it possible that its because VIN is not programmed to the Donor TCM? Thank you!!

All GM 6spped TCM setup and configuration is not important.....just match calibration base on unit VIN,,

Update again.

Odd thing just happened, After the Configure and Setup failed. I tried to Reprogram it again with DPS, it finished 100% with the VIN number on the donor TCM been updated with the actual VIN of the Car. Not sure why it has completed and then went to SPS to program it again just for good measure and it also had successfully finished reprogramming.

Car being on limp mode might be just the faulty input speed sensor and the transmission not had been properly bled(with getting the trans temp to 85°C - 105°C then opening the bleeding plug whilst the ending is running and topping it up with fluid till it drips there)

But So far been success. I'll post an update soon should there be any issues. Thanks for the Comments and insights @Troy @pupu14 @GM-Enthusiast.

Cheers gentlemen! 🙏🏻
