I think it's possible. I haven't done it, but it would be very interesting to do and I have the necessary tools for it.

@blocked

That sounds great.

I definitely wouldn’t want to miss out on your experience, and I’d be very happy to stay in touch and collaborate on this as soon as possible.

Looking forward to working on it together.

  • Yes, hopefully very soon 😀.

  • You need to find the call ID responsible for the "V-Sport" theme, not the "N06". The next step would be to change only this one in your car, leaving the others as original.

    Get the Steering column lock and the module, the wires are on the car, plug them in and do the programming. Vehicle safety.

When you build a RPO sheet for the XML, try to add this RPO code: R7N
This should tell your IPC that your car does not have steering lock.

Alternatively, you can try to find a logic, statement withing the XML file for that RPOS: R7N, N06 which will looks like:
<Parameter ParamDefaultValue="00">

<ParameterName>P_ENABLE_DTC_92AC_FTB_00</ParameterName>

<StartByte>5</StartByte>

<StartBit>5</StartBit>

<BitLength>1</BitLength>

<ConfData useConfData="true">

<ConfigData Value="00" AutoGenExpression="(!UV6)">

<Product>

<RpoCodeRef IDREF="OCUV6" hasToBeAvailable="false" />

</Product>

</ConfigData>

<ConfigData Value="01" AutoGenExpression="(UV6)">

<Product>

<RpoCodeRef IDREF="OCUV6" hasToBeAvailable="true" />

</Product>

</ConfigData>

</ConfData>

<ServiceSection IsServiceAccessAllowed="false">

<Interpretation Text="Disable" Value="00" />

<Interpretation Text="Enable" Value="01" />

</ServiceSection>

</Parameter>

If you found, then change the value to Value=00

Otherwise, try do disabled the parameter name: P_ENABLE_DTC_.....
Do it one by one and check which one disable the steering lock error (if any).
