I have a 17 Cadillac ats with RPO K69. It comes equipped with a TCCM to control the AWD transfercase on the vehicle. I purchased a spare for bench testing, part# 84160285.

However I can't seem to communicate with it via DPS. Tried Address 1A to read info but nothing is displaying.

Module has 2 connectors

X1

pin

3 - run/crank ign 1 voltage

6 - accessory wakeup serial data

7-8 - high speed gmlan serial data

15-16 - high speed gmlan serial data

X2

C - B+

D - grnd

I have X1 3&6 hooked up to X2 B straight to B+

I tried hooking 7-8 and 15-16 to the DLC pins 6/14 but no matter what I do I keep getting "Error Occured During Request Info" with DPS reporting no subnet found.

I understand reprogramming this may be impossible for a ATS, as TDS doesn't have the option to reprogram it, however the silverados use the same module, so I figure I could just reprogram this module and capture the bin to modify it.

Just can't get the J2534 to communicate with it. I've already successfully used this device to reprogram an IPC but that was on GMLAN low speed, this is new to me.

Any ideas would be helpful, thank you

Check full schematics - possibly need to add BCM to your bench setup to have it send "Wakeup Serial Data" signal to this module.

Thank you here is the schematic. It say's pin 6 is IGN. So I'm assuming it's just a basic 12v signal?

12V is usually the wakeup signal.

You can also try adding a 120ohm resistor onto your CANbus for a terminating resistor

Any tricks I may be unaware of for grabbing the OS and firmware off this if it isnt available on TDS?

If you start a programming event with SPS it will give you the OS ID on the screen before you write.

I'm sure there are other ways.

I'm more or less looking to get the actual bin files used for the OS and programming the calibration so I can try to reverse engineer it using AI. I've already done this to some hptuners files for a web interface, would be nice to do this with a bin file to identify table structures in hex format and create an interface to edit the parameters for the TCCM

I'm aware that it can when programming, but how do I even get that far when the RPO isn't listed in SPS?

I have these numbers I thought I might be able to use with the SPS Info website, but in the Part Number field, I think it only accept a CVN# not a direct bin#

I just use a VIN in SPS that contains the RPO that i'm looking for. I unplug the module before actual flashing starts.

Then I have the SPS .bin files that I would be interested in and compare them to the stock .bin files.
