Hello - have read lots on this site with regards to ECU hacks. My first goal is to get a used ECU to be accepted by the vehicle after the original was stolen!
Have learned a lot about SPS, OPCOM, DPS etc etc however still am unable to pair the module with the car!

It's a '16 Mokka 1.4 Gasoline Turbo with an E78 Delco ECU.

Before I bought vehicle as non runner, vehicle has had the original ECU removed and replaced with a secondhand unit. FE03 when tried to use SPS to program immob. I have PINS for OLD ecu (from BCM EEPROM) and replacement ECU.

You must change both the VIN and PIN in the used ECM. You’ll need to programme the ECM via the GM SPS service. Then, you’ll need to programme the BCM using the GM SPS service, selecting the “Setup configuration” option to get the vehicle’s correct security data. Alternatively, you can have a member do it remotely. Check the services directory to find a service provider who can assist you. CameraLoops Services Providers

The ECU PIN is where the problem is I think. Managed to change the VIN via OPCOM but I haven’t found a way to change the PIN via OBD neither dump the EEPROM from the ECU.

I imagine that the PIN change could be done via DPS direct to ECU and changing old/new pins, but do not have the program files (forget the extension)

You need change the PIN and VIN (For this use DPS first) of the engine ECU first, then program it with SPS (both programming and configuration) and perform the Z1 immobilizer learning procedure. Once completed, you should be able to start the vehicle without any problems. But changing the PIN is essential. You will need use DPS.

A year ago, I bought an E88 from the United States, and by changing the PIN and VIN, I was able to program it for my car, and it works perfectly.

Basically I can’t use DPS for VIN/PIN I think, from what I have worked out.

My sticking point is that I have a “bare” DPS at present. Meaning that I lack the Type4 etc, and the skills to create a program file.

(In the above I have assumedthat DPS will require a file to be loaded into the program option)

It becomes a cost/reward thing as despite the fact I have learned a TON of interesting stuff the outlay to get DPS addons for what may be a one time thing doesn’t make sense.

check all module id in the vehicle, if the ecm is the only problem,, easy to delete VATS(HPT) but not by DPS, and reset immo(IOT) will remove pin coded,
