You could try using Hex editor Nero to compare both cali files to see if the codes are almost the same in both files, then swap some codes arround, correct the checksum and test it out.

The trial-and-error routine method is very time-consuming, but look on the bright side, you could get lucky. Sometimes I do 🙂.

Good luck.

Wont this method brick the module?

because this is an ECM cal and i have little experience in using hex editor.

I've modified Cali files in the past and never once bricked a module. The worst case scenario is that the modified file in the DPS archive will not fully program onto the module, and DPS will issue an error, or the module will not function properly with the modified Cali file. In such cases, using DPS to reprogram the module's original calibration files will restore the module's functionality.

You are correct but this car was custom programmed from the previous owner and the stock cals dont match with whats on the car it was costume programmed but i managed to retrieve the calibration number from a friend of mine he had many of them saved in one folder but unfortunately they aren’t organized by vin thats why im stuck with this issue

its different OS for sure, manual or auto TC is not issue,, if you can run the other ecm(with fan ) on your engine, no need more calibration,, clone it complete, delete dtcs, disable vats,,

Correction: if both OS are equal you can change the cals however you like and thats what i’ve done when one system cal is giving me the auto TC and the other is manual TC but no fan activity
