EEPROM Help Needed on GM Silverado

Featured Replies

Hello All! Does anyone know how to identify GM EEPROM module part numbers located inside the ECU & ICP? GM uses "house" part numbers which makes them very difficult to cross reference.

FYI, I'm working on a 2022 Chevy Silverado with a "E90" ECU. I have an automotive kit #1 from Andromeda which has the ability to read & re-write data directly to the EEPROM. But without knowing the actual module numbers I am stuck!!!

Any help identifying and cross referencing GM numbers would be appreciated.

  • Not every SOP8 chip is a EEPROM... And where do you seen "in-house" product codes/names? Both chips (that can be mistaken with EEPROM) are by NXP, and both have standard marking which is easily searc

Shortcuts are not always solution, if you describe excatly what king of job you are doing I can help to sort out issue, i am not into swapping pcb parts i can help in Programming and let things work

  • not have , EEPROM is virtually only , it is are of MCU code.

i bought that kit from that guy and i had absolutely zero luck with that kit. i dont believe that kit is able to be used on the newer gm vehicles or any at all. i went all the way to a 02 s10 and still wouldnt connect.

I'm not looking to swap parts. I am trying to identify the eeprom part number. Like I mentioned in my original post, GM uses "house" numbers. Do you have any idea what the eeprom module number or numbers would be in a E90 ecu?

Ok so the E90 does not have a 8 pin eeprom separate module from the CPU?

And where do you seen "in-house" product codes/names? Both chips (that can be mistaken with EEPROM) are by NXP, and both have standard marking which is easily searchable on the web. TJA1057 is CAN transceiver, and A1027 is for LIN network.
2N06L50 - OptiMOS® Power-Transistor
16LW - also some kind of transistor..

EEPROM is not external to main MCU. There is no access to eeprom as jtag, etc are locked out.
