Hacking The GM Harman INFO3, INFO3.6 CSM Radio

I've already successfully hacked this GM Harman INFO CSM radios and created a DPS VIN change file, which can be used to unlock and remove the Theft Lock from these radios.

The DPS VIN change file can be found at this link.

My next goal is to explore this radio further to identify additional hacking opportunities.

Sometimes, locating connectors for the modules can be difficult, so I purchase modules from sellers who cut the connector wires and include them with the module purchase. This allows me to acquire some connector cables without purchasing the wiring harness.

Great work, I have bought INFO3.0 to retrofit to Astra K including the wiring harness

I also understood that INFO3.6 have wireless Apple CarPlay.

At the moment it is challenging to do a custom writing on the calibration. I was hoping to flash Vauxhall / opel start up to be shown on Info 3.6.

I have an INFO3 and INFO3.6 radio with me. Hopefully there's a method to do some custom writing.

Interesting, what is needed to do a bench setup? Just power up a radio and display module? Or is BCM and other items needed?

Radio and screen is enough. Add a BCM if you need to change the radio VIN on the bench.

Forgot the Global A name 😅

What's the limitation that makes it not work on 08-12? I'm new to the plattform but really want to learn it's in's and out's

I have the 13501739 BCM :)

I've got a SAAB ng9-5 2011, which is basicly a Inisgnia/regal. So I'm looking into how and what I can do to modernize it as I want to push this plattform forward :)

I’ve seen one person’s video on YouTube where they installed an HMI 2.5 system in a 2011 vehicle. I have no knowledge of what needs to be done to achieve it but it's possible.

Apparently just adapter harness and VIN inside of it:

Does the MOST(Ethernet) loop need to closed for HMI3 to startup on bench or not?

I don't know, I ended up purchasing a premade cable for a quicker setup.

This is the one I'm using https://www.opuradio.com/products/wiring-tester-obd-for-2019-2021-chevy-silverado-corolado-blazer-tahoe-gm-yukon-gmc-opel

The ethernet bus are only 2 wires

Radio to speedo

Radio to onstar

Radio to amplifier

If dont have onstar or amp only needs 2

If have all, 6 wires

This was the answer i was looking for.

I started the unit on bench today. It is rebooting every 2 minutes, same as in car.

Will investigate how to fix this fault.

hi, do you know any adapter harness, if I would like to replace the small radio / display (without a HMI) with the big display radio with HMI 2.0 or 2.5 in Insignia 2014?

Я видел на YouTube видео, в котором человек установил систему HMI 2.5 в автомобиль 2011 года выпуска. Я не знаю, что для этого нужно сделать, но это возможно.

I'll be doing this soon with HMI 3.6. I just need to buy a couple more components and test its functionality with a 10.2 display from bolt EUV

Here is a dump of all the data of the INFO3 unit.

In the GIS-646_CalDef_Database_V3.4.0_17Dec2018_MY19.zip is an explanation of what all the calibration files do.

The GIS-646_CalDef_Database_V3.4.0_17Dec2018_MY19.zip was found in the filesystem of the INFO3 unit.
