Front and rear park assist UD5 and Rear cross traffic alert UFG

Hello everyone,

I have upgraded 2018 Buick Regal (W04GV8SX9J1119356) with front and rear park assist UD5 (there been only rear UD7). Used control module and front sensors from Opel Mokka J13 (don't remeber exact VIN, something like W0LJD7EE9HB244878, RHD, it has UD5 but has no UFG), rear sensors remain stock. Also BCM been reprogrammed to enable flexride F45 and HMI to enable surround vision cameras UVH.

Park assist works well, but the problem is I'm not getting rear cross traffic alert messages. No dtc recorded. However, it works when requesting with diagnostics, B218L - functions - visual and sound alert. It also works when replacing park assist module with my stock one. Blind spot detection works good. RCTA turned on in personalization menu.

My suggestion is Object detection radar uses some information it cannot get from the Park assist module designed for the car with no UFG. Or this park assist module have no logic inside to work with RCTA messages.

I've also tried to use control module from 2016 Buick Envision (LRBFXESX7GD171259 has both UD5 and UFG), but it writes dtc for all sensors : signal circuit open/short to ground B09.. 06, maybe it uses different sensors. I've also tried to online flash control module from Mokka with calibrations from 2019 Insignia W0VZM8EF5L1007277 (UD5 + UFG), no success, it can't download calibration files. I've been able to flash Envision's module with Equinox 3GNAXKEVXNL312134 UD5 + UFG, but still there are dtc for all sensors signal open/short to ground, and RCTA messages not shown.

I have another idea to try to flash with Insignia A calibrations, but unable to download anything for Opel.

So, can someone, please, provide the calibration files for

2020 Opel Insignia B W0VZM8EF5L1007277, K182 module, 0ZT35, &UD5, &YWC, or just the file 39127108

2017 Opel Insignia A W0LGT8E10H1020954, K182 module, &UD5, &YWC

And for 2017 Opel Mokka W0LJD7EE9HB244878, K182, so I could rollback.

Or maybe someone have other suggestions why RCTA messages works only when requesting by MDI?

Check your IPC config - if the sensors are transmitting but the IPC isn't set up right to display the alerts, the whole system may not work as intended.  (Stab in the dark, but worth a shot.)

Does the flexride actually work without the appropriate module, or is that something which needs wired in?  (Would guess the latter, but being a 2018 Regal owner myself I'm interested in this.)

B218L Side Object Sensor Module - Left;  With Side Object Detection Sensor Indicator (RPO UFT/UFG)

Encore could also fit, ie KL4CJGSM9KB752946, K182

No need for the B218L Side Object Sensor Module calibrations, as it works well with my stock module.

Seems there are no problems with messages display, as it comes when my stock module plugged in, and it works when testing with MDI.

Yes, it works without suspension control module. Just changes throttle responsiveness and holds lower gear for longer time when releasing throttle.

I appreciate if you could provide at least OS cals for these VINs:

2017 Opel Insignia A W0LGT8E10H1020954, K182 module, &UD5, &YWC

I have no stock calibrations of Mokka, so haven't tried. And, as far as I remember, there were no option for front and rear sensors.

I've been doing some GMLAN sniffing and found the message my stock module sends and mokka module is not. #103A00BB with data 40 to enable and data 00 to disable RCTA. As a temporary solution I'll make some device to send these messages when rear park sensors enabled/disabled.

"Did you manage to fix your issue? I’ve also installed blind spot radars (Trax 2018), but the parking sensor module doesn't fit (From 2013. UD7) There's no RCTA option in the menu, only Park assist and Blind spot monitor. If I find a newer K182 module, will it work?" Thanx
