Astra K IOB Radio - Enabling the climate menu

Hello people,

I thought I'd drop a post on here to see if anyone here had an experience enabling the Climate menu on IOB radio, specifically for Astra K.

I understand that Insignia-B with IOB and CJ2 usually have the climate menu enabled, although when I was testing insignia-B calibration onto Astra K, the display was somehow changed upside down, I didn't get much luck with changing varies calibration so far. This is what the climate menu looks like after insignia-B case was programmed in.

I will probably have more time this weekend to investigate it further, for now I am wondering if anyone has attempted these climate menu.

Thanks!

I haven’t done a lot on it just yet. I do have files with identical RPOs from both Astra K + insignia (+CJ2) that I need to make a breakdown to identify the bytes for the climate menu.

I only know that insignia B have 7 speakers but it doesn’t affect software wise.

The problem is, in the IOB/IOR radio types like this:

The calibrations are signed. Cant be Edited. Then, you cant find differences to enable or disable options

That's interesting, so it is even harder to change the logo on IOB. Look like we have to find a way to get the custom calibration signed somehow..

Identifying which calibrations are signed and which are not is quite simple. If you open the calibration and see this:

It's signed.

This happens on some units, not all. (Serial Data Gateway, some engine control units like E88, R4 Radio (ior, iob), Harman Info3 Radio (ios iot iou)

And for the moment, it seems unlikely that such encryption can be broken.

You need to replace some calibration files without changing them and try to flash them. There was such a problem, but everything was solved by firmware

I’ve tried this, it isn’t easy though as the climate menu is in insignia B models, however I able to understand which calibration have climate menu but it was these calibrations that cause the display to be upside down.
