Latest 2.5 HMI Firmware Update

Featured Replies

I have noticed that on SPS you cannot get Firmware updates anymore from ACDELCO. Does anyone have the Latest MY18 or MY19 17.1 USB firmware update? Latest I have is 16.3 but doesn't work on many HMIs cause it says file is incompatible. Also has anyone figured out how to get rid of the MyChevy, MyGMC, MyBuick, or MyCadilac ICON on the HMI display so when someone plugs it in it will change to their vehicle version?

You need to put the car to sleep in a meadow, usually it helped to disconnect the IPC, then disconnect the power supply and after 2-3 minutes connect it and then connect the IPC

You need "emulate" the open/close door. with the driver's Power Window Motor you can do it, it control the open/close signal via LIN BUS (and the door lock, you can use a switch to GND) This happens

I believe there are separate calibration files which are responsible for showing certain brand apps, it cannot be done "automatically" - you need to prepare calibration pack for each brand/vehicle separately, even if the hardware is the same and shared across all these vehicles.

Are these the Calibration files you get from SPS? I know programming through TIS (ACDELCO) it doesn't take the icon away at all. It is stuck unless you do a Firmware Update then program the HMI after. I believe this is the only way to get rid of the icon. Maybe someone has got this to work without firmware update. Maybe a CAN Command to wipe all calibrations from the HMI kinda like the new 3.0, 3.5, 3.6 HMIs you can send one command to the radio over can to wipe the whole radios programming.

I know you can get the source code files from Bosch for free but I don't know how to load the tar files from the source code to the HMIs yet but maybe will have time to figure it out one day.

Brand label is a 7-Salesmake/Brand calibration file, put your brand calibration part and create a SPS archive.

Hi

Is possible to change Thame and start logo for any files on calibrations no.720240428_191551.jpg.2b540bc18ced6bc24d7acdf2c13bbe83.jpg

I know about the splash screen. I was talking about the icon for the app. MyChevy, MyGMC, MyCadillac, MyBuick. These are icons from the app you get on your phone. If you program the HMI for Silverado the icon will stay MyGMC if it was in a GMC truck. I know the only way to get rid of the icon is to do a firmware update. I know when firmware update is done the HMI is in Cadillacs Default state. I'm looking for the most recent 2.5 USA Firmware USB stick.

I haven't been around as much lately but I have written a tool to modify all of the calibrations.  The default after update in Cadillac's state is actually just because the values are all returning to default.  You can still download the USB update from SPS but you have to pick an older part number.  I couldn't honestly tell you off of the top of my head though if it's as new as what came with the newer HMI's.  If I get some time later, maybe I'll throw my bench setup on and see if I can make that hide/show.  It might be the internet app 6 but I can't recall.

For the person asking about changing themes, yes, it's possible (you can do custom too but that's more complex):

that is a nicely done tool!  are you referencing the calsets.db for any given ecu or just select ones?

After instaling firmware update on the bench I have "restart system" message I can't pass. It pop up even after restarting the HMI. Does anyone know how to skip it? Thank you

You need "emulate" the open/close door. with the driver's Power Window Motor you can do it, it control the open/close signal via LIN BUS (and the door lock, you can use a switch to GND)

This happens with the IPC Firmware and Radio mainly.
