Did you remove the theft lock? Program the radio and hmi using sps.

Also, what's the year, make model of the vehicle?  But overall, sounds like the radio module isn't calibrated or dead.

the car have bose amplifier? or does it have a standard speaker system? i means, speakers connected to the radio (green connector). I see it is an IO6/HMI 2.X system. If it does not have an external amplifier (connected via MOST BUS), you need a radio that has an integrated amplifier and that has calibrations for an integrated amplifier.

 

There are some units not have internal AMP and only works with the bose amplifier

 

99% sure the radio doesn't have the correct calibrations.  It affects the amp as Arbe_gtc said and there are different calibrations for the controls.  You'll need radio calibrations from a base unit (I'm assuming that doesn't have Bose being a base truck).

a easy way to check if have or not internal amp, remove the two screws and in back the plate you should see the amplifier or only the holder for the integrated amplifier. Or, if the plate are cold on operation mode not have internal amp.

 

hmi from cadillac? unit vin to check amplifier? cadillac hmi dont have internal audio amplifier....

I need a new calibration anyone?

 

How did you get this to work?  I have a 2014 silverado 1500 with no audio after the hmi, radio and usb upgrade.

Get a VIN from a 2016 truck that has about the same options as your truck.  Then program those calibrations into the radio module

I tried that with dps.  Didn't work.  Also, tried with sps but it won't let me.

Why wont it let you?

I finally got it to take a 16 vin.  But still no audio.

Could the radio be wrong?  This truck has IO5 and the radio I'm installing has IO6.  

IO5 its the same as IO6

ok, makes sense.  I've tried programming to a few different 16 silverado vins with no luck on both the radio and hmi module.

UQ3 i think its a radio whitout external amp. In the green plug, you have wires?
