Hello to everyone,

I replaced old IPC in my Camaro 2016 with new used one from Camaro 2017. At first I changed VIN to make odometer show values. It works, thanks to @Troy  🙂

Now I would like to move further and get rid off error messages  which are showing after each start:

BCM:
- Incorrect Environment Identifier received from instrument cluster

IPC:

- Incorrect immobilizer identifier received

- Ambient air temperature sensor circuit

- Lost communication with parking assist control module

- Lost communication with side object detection control module left

- Lost communication with device on LIN Bus

 

I red on this forum that I need calibration file for IPC, is it right?

Can someone make this file for me? VIN: 1G1FD1RSXG0142593

You must delete and reprogram the vehicle keys to fix those DTC.

Here are your IPC calibration files in DPS format. Program the IPC and see if you still have issues.

 

 

Thank you! I tried program IPC but it ends with error. Log and some photos are attached. Can you help me what I am doing wrong?

The log is saying the calibration files are not made for that IPC.

Did you upgrade the IPC to a newer Model IPC from a later or lower vehicle? 

Did you save the VIN that was programmed in the USED IPC? If so, send me that VIN.

Yes exactly. IPC is newer model and it was from Camaro ZL1. Fortunately I saved old VIN it was 1G1FJ1R64J0141197 

In order to re-program the vehicle's keys to remove the DTC errors, you must first change the PIN in the used IPC to match the vehicle's PIN. To change the PIN in the used IPC, you must already know the vehicle's and the used IPC four-digit PIN.

 

IPC DPS PIN change file for the 2018 IPC.

 

Both your vehicle's PIN and the used IPC PIN. (on the house)

After changing the IPC PIN, you can program the keys using this Type4 IMMO file. (No need for GM SPS service)

 

 

Your 2018 used IPC calibration files.

 

For other issues, you may need to manually copy your original 2016 IPC RPO codes to the 2018 IPC and deactivate some DTC in the 2018 IPC using the IPC XML files method. 

The 2016 and 2018 IPC files I uploaded include the IPC XML files.

 

This tutorial explains the XML files method (It doesn't include info for which DTC you need to deactivate. You would have to figure out which DID DTC needs to be deactivated)

It was programmed 100% ignore that error. 

Yes 👌thanks. Now I was able to delete error codes from IPC. Excelent ! I will try disable warning messages which I don't need 🙂

I know why the error at the end appears. When I clicked on 'Get Controller info' before programming IPC, the process ends successfully 👍

I'm back. Unfortunately error codes are back too. And I'm not able to change anything on IPC via XML file. Programming finished ok, but no changes. I tried to disable warnings, turn off turbo boost bar. But nothing works. Is there chance that it's due to wrong PIN? Because I didn't change PIN on new used cluster yet (waiting for money 🙂 to buy PIN changer 🙂 )  I attached my XMLfile, maybe there is someting wrong? Thanks a lot for any advice or help.

You need to completely correct the XML for the car and then everything should work out

This error at 100%, can be solved if you check the box theft deterrent Sec code and input in the boxes the actual code. some units after load calibrations ask for the sec code to complete the process. but, if don't check the box, the calibrations loads OK and at 100% you get a failure message.

the pin code is not relevant to  edit the xml, if you need enable menus, you need complete the XML with the missing dids you need.
