Dear friends, I have some questions on Chevrolet Onix (uzbekistan version, 1.2 amto) ECU reprogramming and car&lock sign on dashboard deactivation tips.

1. We recently installed methane gas on the car. It has passed about 12,000 km after it. Then suddenly the car won't start with car&lock sign on dashboard. Some mechanics are saying that it needs a new ECU. "ECU is gone". Can methane installation cause the loss of ECU program? Can chevrolet Onix ECU be reprogammed? Are all the chevrolet onix ECU's compatible with each other, though they have different engines (Mexico, China, Uzbekistan, Brazil)

2. Does it really require a new ECU or is the car's ECU can be programmed or restarted again?

Because this model is new in our country, the people are very skeptic about Onix. Especially, there are a lot of car traders in the secondary marked who accumulated Cobalt and gentra and running "antimarketing" of Onix. Saying to people that Onix is not good, ECU can be gone easily. I was wondering if the ECU is really damaged by fuel type. I attached the viedo, please help guys. Thank you so much.

First of all you need diagnostic on vehicle to see what is show. Then need to check id to see if read ecu

Thank you bro for your reply. The owner says mechanics could not connect to the ECU. They cannot switch off the immobilizer light.

In general, is there any available chip tuning for Chevrolet Onix 1.2L atmo engines?

If no connection to ecu mean no communication, mean car doesn’t start and will not start until replacement ecu is supplied and programmed. You cannot turn off immo when ecu is not present/working

hello, the E64 ECU has a connection, but there is no option to rewrite the VIN code and immo, maybe someone has an in-circuit connection point or an MPS7383D5 can try to restore, I don't know what yet
