Hello all,

I'm working with my project what will have all possible Insignia A options maybe some from Insignia B( But no 4x4 as I'll try to fit Tesla motor for rear drive.) It just so happens I have few broken Intellilux headlights on shelf and decided to give it a try to fit them in Insignia A Headlight housing and with a lot of modification to the housing it did. Just wondering if you can shed some light what additional modules insignia B have for them light to work.

P.S Got main headlight modules, leveling sensors front and rear and front camera.

And full wiring diagram for Intellilux Headlights would be appreciated.

Thanks

This sounds very interesting. I do like to follow this progress.

I hope these wiring diagrams helps. I can get you more if I did miss something out. I am more than happy to assist in any way we can do.

With front camera, you may have to make some change to the housing of front camera as the Insignia B's front camera are different to insignia A.

Car already have lane keep assist camera I believe it's possible to utilise that one, if not I'll order one for insignia b, Lyubomir told me that I'll need insignia B AFL control module, and sourced part number.

If everything goes by my plan (what never does) car should be done for next summer.

On Insignia A, the feature is "Lane Departure warning" which is just the audio warning, when Insignia B, it is "Lane Keep Assist", making steering turn back slightly in order to return back into the lane. I haven't really looked into utilise Insignia B's software into Insignia A's K109 front camera since the hardware is different.

Did I also see that your Insignia has Adaptive Cruise Control?

Yes it does, don't know if it works, as I have to rebuild the engine...😀

P.S this is 2016 model. And it has electric power steering column.

If you have to swap cameras, hopefully you can get a bracket that mounts that camera in the correct spot.  Without that, it is an absolute nightmare to align and learn it. Hopefully your current one will work 🙂.

I don’t know Insignia’s at all but depending on your cluster, you may have the lane keep assist menu that you can turn on (through configuration) and it’ll show if it’s detecting the lane on the left or right and show that.  I’d be surprised if that one wouldn’t work for steering it back though.
