05 Chevrolet Colorado (USA) Miles Correction...??

Featured Replies

  • Contributor

Hello all! Hope youre well...

05 Colorado need to update miles. These trucks will only take the BCM miles. If you lower miles on cluster, BCM will put it back to whatever it has stored. If miles are higher than BCM, miles on cluster wont move until BCM miles reach cluster miles. I am familiar with programming cluster via eeprom, but the BCM? This I have no clue. I tried to read two IC 8 pin and one did have the VIN stored, but looked nothing like the cluster data. the other IC had nothing on it. Anyone know how to program the miles to the BCM?? Thanks guys.

Car type: Chevrolet Colorado - 93c56
The mileage is stored in the next lines:
0000: 06 12 06 12 06 12 06 12 06 12 06 12 06 12 06 12
0010: 06 12 06 12 06 12 06 12 06 12 06 12 06 12 06 12
0020: 06 12 xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
where the next bytes:
06 12 - is a mileage

or

Car type: Chevrolet Colorado - (Dash+BCM)
The mileage is stored in the next lines:
Dash chip type is 93c56, in BSI you must find 25040

First reset mileage in dash as shown here:
00D0: xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx 00 00 00 00 xx xx xx xx
00F0: 00 00 00 00 xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx

than calculate the mileage for BSI:
0080: 17 D7 84 00 17 D7 84 00 17 D7 84 00 xx xx xx xx
where the next bytes:
17 D7 84 00 - is a mileage

I looked once for 25040 but didn't see any. I'll check again...

But I've also looked at every other chip. None with 25040. Unless I'm blind? Lol...
