I don't know the radios by the model number. However, if the radio looks like the one above, you may have to dump and clone the 48 pin TSOP chip. In the EU silverbox radio that's paired with the HMI 2 and 2.5 module, that's the chip that holds the VIN. Usually, wherever the VIN is stored, that's where the boot OS is.

Also, I remember one member on here in the early days dumped the 48 pin TSOP chip and changed his vin there. Also, I don't see any VIN in your w25q80 dump.

The W25Q80 has HDRadio installed (RPO U2M) which includes the SAF3560HV/100, but the W25Q80 and SAF3560 do not (RPO U2K). Looking at the datasheet for the SAF3560 we see that it needs SPI2(W25Q80) so

Oh, sorry, that's not what I wrote. Infineon-S29JL032J_32_Mb_4M_X_8_BIT_2M_X_16_BIT_3_V_SIMULTANEOUS_READ_WRITE_FLASH-DataSheet-v01_00-EN.pdf

What programmer is used to read it?

  • GM Car Hacking Expert

Most chip programmers can program 48 pin TSOP chips.

I use this one and with chip adapters  https://www.mcumall.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=40

Sorry corrections. It's a 48 pin TSOP chip.

I see this thread went in an entirely different direction while I was away. Ha!

Meanwhile, with the IPC, I created a DPS archive using the original SPS Cache files. While DPS sends all the files to the IPC, it ultimately fails to succeed at programming while going through the final validation checks in the utility file.
Note that SPS will successfully write the calibrations. There must be a minor detail missed in the archive creation. There are two calibrations that exist on the IPC that SPS does not download. Unsure if that’s related.

Is there a utility file disassembler/editor available?

  • GM Car Hacking Expert

Maybe those files only get program by the firmware. You can use a hexeditor to modify the utility file.

This 48 pin Tsop chip would be the chip that holds the VIN and maybe the boot OS. Was it the chip you dumped?

any data, used EU GM service and founded, need part number. I can try to help if you want. Not giarantee sucess, but anyway I not look for money. So if we fix it, you win. If I fail, you just will waste some of your time.
