I have a 2011 Silverado with the rpo code ap8. Which means its remote start ready.

There is a kit that comes with 2 fobs and a authorization code to enable/change to rpo ap3 which enabled remote start.

My question is that is there a way to get the auth code without having to buy it.

This is also supposedly enabled useing a tech2 which i do have.

program bcm thru sps with RPO AP3 vin,, then change vin to original vin of unit,, and change RCDLR with AP3 option. check first RPO XL7(315MHZ) or XL8(433MHZ)
