What does the Immo pin code do? I flashed in a 2017 trax 1.4l to a used e78 because it has the same OS as the 2017 Silverado (I’m working on a customer Silverado file) and I can test it in my personal 2015 Trax. I changed the Immo code to mine which is 8xxx and the check engine light and security light were on no start. Removed vats with tuning software , full flash, started up but security light still on and check engine light. I thought changing the Immo pin code to match wouldn’t require deleting vats, what’s the purpose of the stupid Immo code lol? How to get rid of security light? Does it need a environment variable learn? How do I do that?

You need to DTC off all immo codes using tuning software

Just on the pcm itself? Or other modules as well?

I did that and a couple other dtcs for theft or vin, and that worked thanks! 

 

how to do it properly though? I don’t see any option for z1 security relearn or anything like that in sps or gds2.
