Does anyone know how to strictly make a backup of an ecm? J2534 device such as mdi/mdi2

I think sps makes a package that says spsbackup but don't know if you have to write, etc.. Any help is appreciated

You won't know until you try, in SPS there's an option "prepare for remove" or something like that for ECM you can check that out, i assume it will guide you thru the process.

clear calibration on SPSCACHE,,, this is where the calibration files folder,,, reprogram ecm, copy files on spscache,, this is your backup calibration file,, convert files to archieve by sps to dps convertion application,, use gm dps to program.
