When you say this connection is it a normal 12v connection?  

ignition voltage mean 12v thru switch to emulate you give on ignition with key - wake up signal. Is additional 12v to woke up module

blue circle cables unconnected

 

Red, positive and negative.

 

12 volts. nothing special

So basically it's a homemade breakout cable?

yes, you go o the scrapyard, cut the wires in the SDM module, and use in home.
I think the small connector is the same in ALL GM SDM units, the big connector changes.

I have a Insignia A and Astra K SDM and the small connector, matches. the big connector is different.

 

The OBD port its from Astra H

i've got 2 Chevrolet Cruze...one runing (the one with the error) and a salvage one. I will get take the connector of that car and do it like you did.

Soon full bench setup

After trying every solution i came to the conclusion that this SDM is dead.

 

DPS directly says there's no subnet found.

did you wire white/blue cable to serial data communications?by my diagramsSDM require HI can plus serial data enable wire.

@vladimius u have to get wake up device, like bcm.

@Selektion Automotivesee attached pdf diagrams, in instance to woke up module and allow to communicate you need to sent signal to it. Other way will see module in gds/dps, but will not allow you programming. Not yet tested on SDM as waiting to get one in my hands, but ECM not allow programming until signal been sent to it.

No, it works for GM Global-A only.
