You will need an ECM flash. Unless you can find a proper binary for the bcm that only has that option disabled.

I do on my car this way - cut the yellow wire (the wire that goes to the ECU) and connect it to the black-violet wire (wire that goes to BCM) through a 2.4Kom resistor. The engine ECU sees that the hood is open and deactivates the start-stop, while the remote start works normally.
