EBCM ABS, Electronic Brake Control Module DPS VIN Change file, Insignia and Buick Regal 2-Byte Seed

Tested on 2015 Insignia 1.6 sidi Electronic Brake Control Module.

This file will work on 2015 Vauxhall insignia and USA Buick Regal, for 2-byte security only.

This file may or may not work on other cars.

    Downloaded this to try and program a new VIN into my 2009 HHR (used) EBCM.  It wouldn't unzip.  I'm sure it's possible I did something wrong with the zip file.  Feel free to shoot over some pointers.  I'm on MHH and have sent a message this morning before I bought it...  Maybe I should have waited on the response before I picked the wrong download.

    Hi, the file you download is zipped.

    After downloading the file, unzip it, you will then have a folder which includes INFO and other files.

    The file "Electronic Brake Module VIN change TattooTroy.zip" which is inside the folder, do not unzip that file. That file is a DPS archive file which is use to change the VIN number in the Electronic Brake Control Module.

     

    I don't go on MHHauto that much anymore.

    Got it unzipped and tried changing the VIN per the video.  It got farther that in the first attempt (because I did it wrong).  It attempted to load up the calibration up until the point where the log shows "Preparing controller" and then it showed an error message.  I'll send you an email from the last response you gave me.  I appreciate all the help getting me through this process.

    I don't blame you for not going on MHH.  I read that whole thread and it's like everybody commenting was born with all the knowledge and never had to learn anything.

    No, it will not work. Send me the EBCM calibration files, then I can create the VIN change file for that EBCM.
