Hey guys , How do i unlock a radio for the 09 cadillac cts-v . Bought one off ebay and its not working says locked. I tired the tech2 way through a few backdoors and it says it worked.

Data stream shows its not locked , however the screen says locked .

you can unlock the radio using the tech 2 with a specific version of software , let me know if you want more info about it

I already did the tech 2 trick, the data stream shows its not theft locked . However the screen still shows locked.

I thinking know what's going on, the cars got a motec ecu, I believe these gm cars always pull vin for ecu for everything, that's why its not marring the unlocked radio

So I tried the radio in another car and its doing the same thing, it definitely showed it's not locked in the data stream

I do not know which Radio unit you have exactly, but some hardware record VIN info in it's memory and then compare after each ignition cycle.

If there is mismatch between stored and read VIN - theft lock activates.
