Chevy cruze tpms removal

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any help or guidance on how to remove the tpms system from a 17 chevy cruze. Im very new to all this and I'm trying to learn in my spare time. I also need to remove the active grill shutter from my car as well if someone could potentially help me figure that out as well. Thanks in advance.

  • Active grille shutters were controlled by an ECM, if no mistaken - so you should disconnect the plug and perform K20 ECU Setup & Configuration process in SPS (or with DPS)

  • Sorry Brock as a beginner in these newer vehicles, I cannot help as never used EF_Live. While I am waiting on J3524 Can-FD reader via Al__press to show up I will add 2cents for what I believe "active

I will see if I can get that figured out, thankyou!

I find the word "active" grill shutters helpful in my search of issues with a 22 envision. This would tell me the open/ close is monitored and I should make sure feedback is working properly ..... right now it is open circuit all the time . The hood is open circuit on purpose so it does not set the auto-start at every stop sign.

@Todrello
Btw, I was always curious - does this sets a visual alert on IPC and telltale sound when starting a drive, if hood ajar switch is disconnected?

Wish I had visuals/ sound. The radio HMI and IPC are blank /completely dark so could not say at this point. Also I should add no chime/sounds at all at anytime . This is the 22-23 envision with no comms between 7 modules. Thanks

Yeah, not gonna lie i have no idea what your talking about lol.

Is there anywhere i can find an a2l or a map of the switches and tables inside the ecu? I have the individual segment files but not really sure what I'm looking at or for. So far I have just used them as a stock reference for efilive, however efilive doesn't have alot defined or support for my os.

Sorry Brock as a beginner in these newer vehicles, I cannot help as never used EF_Live. While I am waiting on J3524 Can-FD reader via Al__press to show up I will add 2cents for what I believe "active" grill shutter might entail. The AGS plug may have to be plugged into "something" otherwise may be looked at as an "open circuit fault". My AGS uses a 4 wire plug and my hood "switch" uses a 3 wire. Per the web I can leave one of the wires open on the hood switch and it will NOT turn off the engine at every stop sign - and go into autostart upon driving away should I forget to click the bypass button at initial start up. For the AGS it could be "monitoring" if the shutter is completely Open or Closed at any time and maybe register a fault if it "senses" something other than open or closed (or open/shorted)? Not sure how sophisticated the circuit is.... so might Not be able to just leave it "unplugged" as I was hoping for. We do know they monitor status of headlights , tail lights , turn signals and windows on modern vehicles.

@Todrello Ok, I get what your saying now. It is being monitored though I do believe unfortunately. I have tried it both ways and it will throw a fault either way. I disabled the codes via efi live but due to the nature of the vehicle they don't define or make everything available in their software, you can however modify the bin file with 3rd party software and flash it in from what I understand. I myself am new as well so no apologies needed, I'm not nearly smart enough to attempt or even know how to reverse engineer the bin file so until I can find a road map of it I'm s.o.l haha
