Hello! I have a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer (K-VIN/Global A spec like what's sold in the U.S. and Canada, not the Thailand version) and would like to upgrade my instrument cluster from UDC (3.5" monochrome display) to UDD (4.2" color display). My understanding is that the UDD cluster will need to be tailored to my car's VIN and mileage (perhaps among other things, I did see discussion concerning the remotes and PIN codes...). I am technically oriented, but don't have any of the programs or equpiment needed to even attempt doing this myself. Would be very happy to work with someone to tackle the project if it could be done via remote and not shipping the physical cluster!

Another project would be enabling wireless Carplay/Android Auto. This car is export spec and the 8" infotainment supports wireless, but it was disabled due to being export spec. My understanding is this can someone be enabled via software.

good to start with your VIN, as well is good to know if same vehicle been sold with UDD, lastly without equipment - you should invest in this first as even remote you need to be able to connect to car

Thanks for the tips! Yes, the same car has definitely been sold with UDD. The country GM/Chevrolet importer decided to opt for UDC in order to lower customs/import tariffs on the vehicles, and thereby lower the price to the consumer. It's quite ridiculous since this car actually has all the other options: panoramic roof, leather seats, AWD, etc. For equipment, do you mean at minimum a J2534 to allow for a remote connection?
