Hi all, I have extensive experience with programming on Chrysler products. I recently bought a 2021 Camaro, and I'm trying to get up to speed on the GM stuff. I've found that there are very few people willing to share knowledge on the subject, so I was very glad to find Troy's posts and this website. I was hoping to start by trying to add some RPO codes to my radio, but have hit a wall. First, I'm not sure if the 2021 even has the ability to be configured using XML files. If it can, it appears I can't get the files because everything in my car is up-to-date. Anyone have any ides/thoughts? Thanks!

Hi SteveW, GM won't let you easily "edit" options (add, remove RPOs), only on the BCM you can change some features. On the other modules it is done by calling GM techline help desk and they will add a calibration file for your VIN, this was an easy step some time ago but GM is getting more and more "closed" by the day pushing people towards aftermarket solutions and piracy so here we are, the solution is either edit calibration files to work on your VIN or get a module with the features you need and clear its VIN.
