Possible to enable LDW and IntelliBeam at the same time on Global A?

Featured Replies

Hi!

I was wondering if it is possible to do this on older Global A?

On my car (SAAB 9-5), the factory option was one or the other but not the ability to have both. Which kind of sucks...

I'm willing to upgrade and retrofit hardware if needed

apologies for may be stupid question, but can you elaborate what is these RPO/options?

Are you sure about that?
Both HBSM and LDW should be possible simultaneously, because High Beam Assist works from ambient light/rain sensor, and LDW works with dedicated camera, of course.

Please post your VIN and current RPO list.

100% Sure, it even says in in the ordering form 😅

"* Automatic high and low beam, not in combination with Lane Departure Warning."

I have the camera as I have the option of TSR (Trafic sign recongizion). So it seems just be an option that's disabled (?)

Which seems weird, because they work diffrently. BCM is the same as the buick regal/lacrosse opel insingia

How can I get an RPO list? :)

Lane Departure Warning and high beam assist :)

Even the techinical documentation doesn't really say anything regarding why it should work (?)

Your provided VIN is enough to get RPO list, thanks.

Okay, Saab engineers did the Saab thing again and made it totally different to other closest Global-A vehicles...

I guess LDW camera obstructs the view for HBA cam, that's why they cannot be opted out together.

I do not know how it looks inside the vehicle around that inside mirror area, but..

You can still try to get the rearview mirror with the said HBA cam, wire it up and flash BCM with appropriate calibration files, and see if it works. No guarantees it will work correctly.

Asked an old SAAB engineer that worked on the project and seem it was blocked by GM due to it would create unfair competition...

We can install the mirror from the Insignia(13315733) and add the wiring but is apparently blocked from being programmed in SPS.

Is it possible to activate/program it in BCM in another way than SPS?

I'm new to this but willing to learn 😅

will help if you have vin’s for cars with these options available. And will help if you give me your bcm readout from dps :) I have access to Saab online programming and can try to pull calibrations and see if they can be reworked. And may be try remote online session and ask for VCI 🤭🤭🤭

That would be great! 😄

Can you share VINs of Saab with options where you look for?

Can you post full scan log from GDS2 from your car? (DTC and module identification info)
