Had anyone been able to reprogram telematics modules? Modules are on back order and there's plenty of these modules for 2020-2024 silverado/sierria at the junk yard. Stated repairing the broken coax connectors but looking to get them reprogrammed.

Ohh yes. Onstar module.

I have one in my bench setup. I don’t fully remember but I think I was able to change the vin in those modules. I’ll double check in a few days when I get some time.

The ONSTAR modules I've seen don't store VINs. They always get the VIN from the BCM. I may be mistaken, though.

I just realised I already have some VIN and PIN change files for the K73 Onstar modules in the download section. (Too much data in this one brain to remember. I think my brain's hard drive needs a defrag)

Yes, you can recycle used K73 Onstar modules by changing the VIN and PIN and then programming the module using the GM SPS service.

The download section contains some K73 DPS VIN and PIN change files. If your vehicle model differs, send me the module's calibration files, and I'll create the DPS VIN and PIN change files.

I’m in the same boat and just ordered a new one. What special equipment will I need to load the information onto the new module? Or does this have to be done by the dealer? If it must be done by the dealer would you mind if I provide all my information and you give me the file to give them

dealer claims it would have to be refurbished before it could be reprogrammed. I believe they are wrong.

Dealers do not have DPS and EEPROM tools.. Or, at least, they should not offer these solutions officially..
So, they may be more than right on this - as programming a used module in TLC/SPS may require some "refurbishment" before it is properly accepted for reprogramming.

I’m about an hour north of Atlanta. I’d be willing to make a pretty far drive to have it reprogrammed. Are any of you anywhere near this area where I could come to you and pay to have one of you do it?

Just checking back in and seeing if there's a possibility of getting these modules reprogrammed.
