OPEL programming, help!

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Does anyone know how to create calibration? What course should I attend to learn DPS? I need to know how to program any ECU in OPEL vehicle.

Thanks!

Tell me what hardware should I use?

best of all - MongoosePro GM II or III and Scanmatik 2 PRO or 3 PRO.

Thanks a lot. Does Scanmatik 3 PRO is better because it support SAE J2534-1/2, RP1210, CAN-FD and DoIP protocols? Beside that, it is cheaper.

Of course, SM3 is an improved product. SM2 is discontinued. Also Scanmatik have some other perks for J2534 apps (ignition emulation), which almost no other device manufacturer is offering.

What do you think about VXDIAG VCX NANO, is it worth or not?

I would advise against it at this point, if you are considering using official subscription to GM/Opel servers (for SPS reprogramming). They may get banned at some point, just like MDI clones. Scanmatik is a genuine product, not some Chinese knock-off. If you want a tool to serve you well for years to come - better consider original products, not clones.

When you get banned, do you get banned based on the SN of your mdi unit?  We need a DPS file to change the SN of the MDI unit!!!!  Someone get on that!

Thanks for the advice. Definitely I will buy Scanmatik 3 PRO.

Also, can anybody  explain to me this: Scanmatik have some other perks for J2534 apps (ignition emulation). Ignition emulator, how?

Yes, they check by SN (all clones have the same, or the same few SNs.. ).
DPS have nothing to do with MDI internals.
Also, Chinese are not interested in supporting old hardware. They would rather create and sell a new hardware which is not  banned at the moment.

Through J2534 driver.. It's their "know-how". Everything is described in manuals, just visit manufacturer's page.
