Thank you for your help so far! With the help of a friend who is much smarter than me, I have made some progress the hard way. I was able to read and edit the eeprom to change the pin/vin. I installed the IPC and at first a few things were not working.

 

1. "Track" mode was missing from mode selections.

2. The crash alert on the wheel did nothing.

3. There was a message about Service AWD.

 

I then logged in to SPS and performed a setup and config. That made some things work and others broken.

 

1. The AWD message was fixed

2. The crash detection alerts button was working on the wheel

3. Track mode was now back in the menu and working.

Things that are now NOT working

RPM Gauge is not working

Boost gauge is not working. It is available in the MENU pages, but does not show in the menus at all.

 

I need a little help with the XML configuration and then getting that set up in DPS to write it back.

Can someone help me to get that part figured out please? I think its just those 2 things and I'll be all set!

To configure the cluster for your car, you need the XML, and configure it as your car options. Maybe you need change calibrations too.

For rpm gauge, you need configure in DID00a5 the tach_hardwire did

In most cases, modifying this works. On my car with a UDV info3, I have not been able to get it to work.

Thank you again, @Arbe_gtc I started to study the xml files yesterday but got a little overwhelmed. I'll look for this in my xml. I know it is possible to get the RPM working because it was working before I did the setup and config in sps2. I will need to learn how to edit the xml and configure in DPS. Then write it back. Is there a discord to chat about car stuff? If so please shoot me a friend request and let's chat. Same username as here on discord. It would be cool to have a group to discuss this stuff in a place where we can chat live. I am sure I'll be back with more questions, but I am appreciative of your help!

I finally figured it out! I also still have a lot to learn but happy I got it all working.
