Does anyone know how to clear permanent DTC codes? Without waiting for the system to clear it on its own. Is there some way we can flash something and erase the permanent DTCs? I did a little searching in these forums and I didn't come up with anything. Thanks in advance.

I have done this already, but the permanent code remains... Check engine light doesn't come on anymore, but permanent code is still there. 

you set it to " NO MIL "

SET IT TO " NO ERROR REPORTED "

Yes I'm certain it's set to No Error Reported. 

I think the problem is because the permanent code was set before I changed the DTC to "NER" (no error reported) so now it'll never clear since the problem is technically still there. (?)
